What We Believe & Teach
The Bible
1. The inspired Word of God as the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men and the final authority for all Christian faith and life.
God
2. In one holy, righteous and just God, creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
3. That the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Himself fully God became fully man by virgin birth. His life was sinless. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. He was physically resurrected and He ascended to the right hand of the Father to be the High Priest for His people.
The Holy Spirit
4. That the Holy Spirit indwells the believer and enables them to lead a holy life pleasing to God. That every believer receives spiritual gifts to serve God and one another and needs to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit in order to live for Him.
Mankind
5. That mankind was created in the image of God to worship and serve Him, but is alienated from Him because of sin and is therefore under His judgment. That salvation and eternal spiritual life can be obtained through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and His redemptive work on the cross. This is entirely an act of God’s sovereign grace.
Baptism and Communion
6. That water baptism by immersion and celebration of the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by all believers.
The True Church
7. That the true Church, which is the Body of Christ, is composed of all who are born again through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a universal fellowship in which there is no difference based on race, social standing, gender or church affiliation.
The Resurrection
8. In the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting life with the Lord Jesus Christ, and the unbeliever to everlasting conscious punishment.
The Return of Christ
9. In the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory to receive His people to Himself and to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords
Our Key Goals
1. Worship: To provide an environment for worship that encourages all to express their love and devotion to God for who He is and for what He has done.
2. Teaching: To provide planned systematic teaching programmes designed to develop spiritual understanding and practical application of Scripture to life.
3. Evangelism: To reach out to our community with the good news of Jesus, seeking to extend the Kingdom of God.
4. Ministry: To be a family of God’s people, characterised by love and support, serving God by using our gifts, talents and skills for the mutual benefit of all.
5. Fellowship: To build and enrich relationships and promote unity within the body of Christ.
